The first way artists can show their work is through street performance. While this method of showing work is highly popular around small cities, such as Cambridge, in bigger cities, such as in the USA, New York or so on, this level of showing work is considered ordinary because there are so many various people doing street performance. What I personally find distinctive about this form of show is that you can get physical interaction with clients and audience, and in this sense this way of showing work is very different to online or TV because here you can only get virtual feedback most of the time.

Here is another example of a particular street performer in Cambridge, who plays an instrument inside a dustbin, This sounds a very boring method of entertainment, but from watching this street performer I personally saw that he attracted a wide audience due to the diversity of his street performance act, and yet again I think this is an excellent way for someone to show their work.

Here is a particular example of a street performer in Cambridge, who performs in the town centre and around near the Grand Arcade, (shopping centre) which is the most popular area in Cambridge. He receives various tips and a huge number of watchers, as his method is to remain still for long periods of time - this is very interesting while you are walking past and while watching myself, I personally think this is a great example of someone showing their work.
Another way of practitioners to show their work is through art exhibitions. There are a lot of exhibitions in shops around Cambridge and while this is not a well known method of showing work, I personally think it is very popular. This is mainly due to the same method as street performance, the practitioner can get personal and physical interaction with the clients and audience, yet again very different to TV or online showing of work.

One particular example of showing work through an art exhibition is a vacant shop front referred to as 'The Shop' In Jesus Lane in Cambridge. I have got the bus or walked past here many times and I personally think there is always something new to look at or something which catches your eye, such as a panting, a sculpture etc.
I personally think yet again this is a very effective way of showing work, while it may now be the most well known. Artists this way can get personal and physical interaction with clients and their audience as opposed to other methods of show where only virtual feedback or interaction is available, such as online or TV.
Another popular way of practitioners showing their work is also through Live Gigs at venues. A popular live gig at a venue in Cambridge is through the Junction venue, showing the Fiver event.

In this way, I believe the practitioner can this way get audience feedback, and physical and personal interaction with the audience as opposed to online or TV methods of showing work. While this method of showing work is not as popular as online or TV, I personally think that this is an excellent way for a practitioner to show work, mainly because of the personal experience of the audience.
