The general ways to show and exhibit your work in terms of a creative practitioner were primarily to actually show them to a live audience in terms of a presentation, live gig, exhibition and so on. Take for example Andy Warhol's work was primarily shown in art galleries and by the process of exhibition, for example his first art exhibition was in the Ferus Gallery of Los Angeles. However as technology has become more advanced, there are now radio, TV, and internet which enable you to show your work to a much wider audience than previously available. There were many less methods of showing and exhibiting work before the internet, which is my main topic explained below.
Tv series have evolved over the years, from being watched simply on TV and if you missed the series or episode, you had missed it and there was no other chance to see it unless it aired again later on. Due to technology rapidly changing, and web 2.0 making an appearance, you can now watch the series, special episode or general episode on the internet, especially BBC I player, which airs shows missed on the BBC channels a week previously. It also features a radio function too, so if you missed out on any particular radio show, competition etc you'd like to catch up on, you can listen on BBC Iplayer - something which once again had never been previously available.

An excellent example of a special episode of the series 'Doctor Who', is the special christmas special 'End Of Time' which only featured two episodes, one on Christmas Day and one on New Years Day. Previously, viewers would have had to wait for the special episodes to air once again on BBC Three, which would take a couple of weeks or even months, and some episodes or programmes are not aired again so if you missed the programme you had truly missed it. With Iplayer, you can now watch the shows previously unavailable, and you can even download them which is also a bit step up in technology from a few years ago in terms of TV shows.

Another advantage of internet technology is the fact you can also watch whole series of programmes, for example on the picture below the popular drama Waterloo Road is shown, but you can also watch every other episode of the series which had been before unatainable unless buying the series. You can also go out and buy the series, as technology now means dramas etc are digitalised on disks so you can purchase them and collect them, something which once again has been a consequence of how technology has altered the show/exhibit of TV shows.

Other than watching BBC Iplayer on the computer, there is also alternative methods, for example you can watch it on the Ipod touch's or Iphone, pretty much any phone with an internet connection or wifi, and this is extremely helpful as it means you can watch the programmes mostly on the go or while travelling. This is a big advantage to simply sitting at home and watching the TV, and shows a big step up in terms of technology.
You can also on the games console The Wii - which features a free channel of BBC Iplayer. This is the main example which demonstrates how evolving technology alters the process of show and exhibition of media products, being able to watch TV series or dramas on a games console is something which would never have happened if evolving technology did not feature.
Speaking of changing technology and advances in the TV industry, there is also a website in which you can watch live TV for free, elimnating the need for a television. The website is http://Iphone.tvcatchup.com, and is extremely useful in watching TV for example on the go, while travelling or busy, this also shows you no longer need to be at home inside to watch TV programmes which yet again is a massive step up for technology concerning the internet.
