Self reflection - Jan 18th

How have you kept up with tasks and blogging evidence?
In my opinion I have kept up with tasks very well, always updating my blog every night with what the group and myself did on the day and how I felt things were going - I have been used to this and therefore have been updating frequently. I have quite a bit of evidence in terms of pictures, screengrabs etc on the blog so this should help in terms of evidence. However, with hindsight I can see that I could explain my role on that day a little clearly on some of my posts just to highlight what I did personally.

How well has marketing gone so far?
The level of marketing so far four our Lines web series has gone well in my opinion, considering social networking, web 2.0 and audition posters etc - I think we have done the best we could do in terms of reaching a wide audience and with Pete's help to further education centres we could attract quite a large audience for the finished project. One thing that I would suggest is to have the marketing links at the very top of our blog (like mine is now) to highlight the marketing campaign, we could also update our social networking sites a bit more, such as facebook, twitter, facepunch etc. We have over 100 fans on our group page of Lines which is in my opinion very good considering the first episode is not even ready yet - it shows people are generally interested. We have created T shirts and merchandise linked to the Lines web series to sell in a create to order process, and have advertised these on the marketing websites, although this advertising could be a little more frequent - although we are not expecting many people to buy merchandise without watching the show first and it gaining popularity. We are also very close to setting up an official Lines website in which to post all our data etc.

How has scripting/planning/shooting gone?
This has gone reasonably well, the one main problem being that we have not yet shot our first episode as opposed to the other group. However I think ours is more planned beforehand which may work to our advantage, as we now have a shot list and are very close to having a finished storyboard. Scripting has gone considerably well as we have had a clear and simple script right from the beginning so have been able to work and not worry about the script. Planning is going really well - with the main thing to organise would be the shoot, we have free times for everyone which I have collected but the problem is that they are not all free simultaneously, nonetheless we are arranging to film after college if this is suitable.

How close are you to schedule?
As a group we are fairly close to schedule, although the main accomplishment to get done is to film the first episode by Thursday 7pm which is the final deadline. With our planning and organisation we should definitely be able to complete this and stick to the deadline. I think that we have done well in terms of planning, evidence and marketing but now need to get filming the first episode as soon as possible, this will be our clear plan as a group in time for Thursday. My individual role will be to help finish the storyboard, help Mike arrange actors, help with filming if necessary and request forms and risk assessments also.
