The main example I am going to use is Andy Warhol's film 'Empire' and his other films in general. Previously, limits in technology meant the only way to view his film was to go to the cinema and watch it, or to buy it, which has only happened recently also, since digitalised files have been made. However, due to advances in technology and web 2.0, it has now made Andy Warhol's films easier to view online, and most importantly, for free.
Another more obvious example of how technology has altered the process of show and exhibition for creative practitioners is the video sharing website Youtube. There is also the video sharing website Vimeo, but youtube is much more broadly known.

When doing research on Warhol's work, I viewed most of it online which says a lot about the levels of technology now available, as previously you would have either had to go to an art gallery to view Warhol's work or to read a book, now all research can be done online, including research of his videos. This also shows that Andy Warhol's artwork can also be viewed online, via an image search, wikipedia search or general search for Warhol artwork.
This again shows that developments in technology have helped immensely in terms of art work which normally would not be accessible in any other circumstances as to go and see the art in galleries. The work can now be digitalised and put on a computer, for all the world to see after a simple image search.
